The music of Jonathan Hawkins (bass) and Brad Sondahl (guitar, banjo, harmonica, pennywhistle)
(dedicated to Jonathan, 1953-2020)
The music from a lot of these videos is included in the later CD releases from Sondahl and Hawkins:
Blues Trouble and Good Old Time.
About the musicians:
Brad and Jonathan played together since around 2002
. During that time Jonathan had to absorb the wide variety of traditional folk, blues, bluegrass, and original music Brad likes to play. Both musicians were craftspeople for their day jobs: Brad makes and sells pottery in Spirit Lake, Idaho and Jonathan specialized in restoration house painting in Spokane, Washington. The same attention to detail that goes into their crafts went into their avocation of music making. In addition, Jonathan actually knew something about music, having an M.A. in music. Brad pretends he knows what he's doing and plays it by ear.
There's a CD out of their first gig at the Shop in Spokane.
