This shows the wedging table in the corner, with scale above on a shelf. I don’t have room in this studio for the two level wedging table shown on my tips page, so I use a step in front of it to step up on to bear down when spiral wedging large lumps of clay. To the right of that you can see some of my clay in 50 lb boxes, as I receive it from my supplier. I also store some in a root cellar below the shop. The bucket in the foreground have glaze in them, and sit on top of other buckets, to minimize storage space. They also double as places to set things on. I added the window this year, looking out at our garden and trees. It has been very nice--necessary for cooling the shop, as the only entrance is through the kiln room.
