Beauties (Claytonia lanceolata). They are common in the woods.
Arrowleaf Balsamroot (Balsamorhiza sagittata) grows on sunny exposed hillsides.
Called sunflowers locally. Bloom in May.
Sagebrush
Buttercup Earliest spring flower. Grows in meadows, even in towns.
Dwarf
Waterleaf (Hydrophyllum capitatum) These are common in fields, along roads.
Lush early flower clusters, then die back.

Widows (Sisyrinchium inflatum) Grassy stems--prairie bloomers. Here
