We've had a touch of snow, enough to make the Holiday Parade tonight seem fitting to the weather...

Bikers have long been a part of the Spirit Lake scene, and this biker had a grocery cart full of skull lights and an amusing set of leathers...

Kurt Green has been a big part of the Big Back In lawnmower races for a long time, and was the only lawnmower to show for this parade.

The Baptist Church next to our pottery put a couple days effort into this nice tableau, which included an adult Jesus on the back side...

And this was my cart/float for this year. I used gold cloth to mostly conceal the cart, and the hippo is gazing at a plasma ball, a cool electronic gadget I think my one son got my other son years ago... I was nearly the last float, with the fire dept. behind me, which is good since I was the likeliest float to need a fire extinguisher, with all the candles...

We went for a walk at Farragut State Park today...'

Lots of mature bald eagles, such that this immature seemed more unusual...

Here's a bald eagle that just missed a snack. There was no sign of spawning kookanee salmon, which bring the eagles by the hundreds to the area...

Barrow's Goldeneye along the beach...

A gloomy day but a beautiful lake...

Butters was in "Good Boy" mode, obeying the command to "leave the treat" while I was photographing the goldeneye. The treat is on the rock...
